KANYA CALLS BEYONCE A THIEF
Beyonce's surprise album has sold
nearly 1.5 million copies so far, but
not everyone is a fan:
RadarOnline.com has reported Kanye
West claims he had the idea to do a
visual album first.
“Kanye is feeling really defeated
over Beyonce's album doing so well,”
an insider told them. “He wanted to
do a visual album for his 'Dark
Twisted Fantasies' album, but
everyone around him convinced him
it wouldn't work,” the insider
explains. “That's why he ended up
doing one long movie to go with it
[the 35-minute short film,
'Runaway'].”
Making matters worse, his last album
'Yeezus' has sold fewer than a
million copies so far, despite critical
acclaim. The source says, “He's
super-focused on moving forward.
He's working so hard to come up with
something that will eclipse Beyonce
and put him back on top.”
Plus his baby mama Kim Kardashian
“is pushing him to do something major
too,” the source revealed
WORLDS DIRTIEST MAN, NEVER SHOWERED FO 60YRS, NEEDS A WIFE
Cleanliness is second to godliness.
But for this man, Cleanliness does
not feature in his vast vocabulary of
words.
Amou Haji who has not washed for
60 years is single and he's looking
for love.
But, to win his heart, you'd have to
accept his rather unconventional
lifestyle.
Amou has not showered for the last
60 years because he believes that
being clean will make him sick, and
his favorite food is surprisingly
rotten porcupine.
Just like many hardworking men, he
loves to relax and this he likes to do
by sitting down and having a smoke,
from a pipe packed with animal
faeces.
Mr Haji, 80, says he chose this way
of life after going through some
emotional setbacks in his youth and
since then - perhaps unsurprisingly
- he has become a bit isolated.
OUR VOTES FOR LUPITA
Lupita Nyong’o has proven to be one
of Kenya’s great exports and we
celebrate her every achievement
back here at home.
Now we have a chance to make her
shine again by giving her our support.
This time, we do not have to sit on
the sidelines and hold our breath to
see whether this actress will pick an
award. This time we get her that
award.
The prestigious EE British Academy
Film Awards (EE BAFTAS) is taking
place on the 16th of February 2014,
and Lupita has been nominated in
the Rising Star category. This is the
only category where the public gets to
have a say by voting for their
favorite star.
All you have to do is visit the voting
page where you can vote for Lupita,
simply by entering your name and
email address. You can only vote
once but that vote could go a long
way in getting her the award. Voting
started on the 6th January 2014 and
will end on 14th February 2014.
She has also been nominated in the
best supporting actress for her
performance in 12 years a slave.
So let’s vote for Lupita and support
our very own.

THE BEAUTIFUL SIDE OF TEACHER WANJIKU
Her jokes can keep you laughing, but
it’s her Kikuyu accent that always
gives her an edge over competitors
thus keeping her top of her game.
And while many ‘would be suitors’ to
Teacher Wanjiku still try to see the
lady in her, one fan of her's
confessed that it can be quite hard
to think of her in a ladylike manner
but he loves her as a comedian.
Well, the good news is that Teacher
Wanjiku is a proud wife and mother
so critical suitors can take a back
seat.
And while many may highly
underestimate her potential to
become a stunning fashionista, the
true love magazine cover tells a
different tale.
Teacher Wanjiku revealed her other
side courtesy of the True Love
Magazine stylists who dolled he up to
the extent that she looked almost too
fashionable to be a comedian.
MUSTAFA BILA STRESS... HOW ABOUT MARYA
Colonel Mustapha is without a doubt
one of the finest Kenyan artistes
whose prowess has shone bright even
across different musical generations.
Having been part of the popular Deux
Vulture crew alongside Nasty Thomas,
Mustapha is still going hard on his
musical career and as his recent
‘Lenga stress’ song goes…
‘Weka Mkono kwenye hewa … ata
kama umelemewa”
(Put your hands up in the year even
if you have a ton of problems)
And while his leaving Marya was a
problem at first, Mustapha seems to
have lengad stress and long moved
on.

TURKANA NA DRAMA.... OR LETS CALL IT TRAGIC
Research has shown that HIV prevalence is higher
in marriages or among couples in stable
relationships due to infidelity.
The vice appears to have been legalised through
the phrase mpango wa kando (literally, “side
arrangement” in reference to keeping a
mistress), a practice that has gained currency
among couples.
But the opposite is true among pseudo-pastoral
Turkana people inhabiting the scorched area of
north-western Kenya, thanks to potent cultural
beliefs that have defied modernity.
While the HIV prevalence rate in the larger
Turkana stands at 9.2 per cent, according to the
National Aids and STI Control Programme, in
rural areas, the rate is at 3.7 per cent, thanks
to culture.
There, mpango wa kando is akin to having a
death wish on one’s head as there are cultural
practices to detect the vice.
Picture this: Lokol (not his real name), a
traditionally married Turkana man, normally
returns home after a three-month absence as he
works away from the village.
Whenever he returns, he receives a warm welcome
from his wife and children.
On this particular day, however, as he was
settling down at home, the unexpected happened.
He started nose bleeding, something he had not
suffered for a long time. Similarly, the children
started to nose bleed. His goats too, suffered.
Instead of walking on their fours, the animals
dragged themselves around on their rumps
