Lupita Nyong’o has proven to be one
of Kenya’s great exports and we
celebrate her every achievement
back here at home.
Now we have a chance to make her
shine again by giving her our support.
This time, we do not have to sit on
the sidelines and hold our breath to
see whether this actress will pick an
award. This time we get her that
award.
The prestigious EE British Academy
Film Awards (EE BAFTAS) is taking
place on the 16th of February 2014,
and Lupita has been nominated in
the Rising Star category. This is the
only category where the public gets to
have a say by voting for their
favorite star.
All you have to do is visit the voting
page where you can vote for Lupita,
simply by entering your name and
email address. You can only vote
once but that vote could go a long
way in getting her the award. Voting
started on the 6th January 2014 and
will end on 14th February 2014.
She has also been nominated in the
best supporting actress for her
performance in 12 years a slave.
